💫 Never stop chasing your dream, to make it your reality. I know it sounds cliche, but cliches are truth! A little back story on me and how I got here! I’ve always been creative- growing up in dance. Opting for an office job was not an option! I completed TAFE cert III in floristry back in 2018-19 after leaving school. I’ve always had such a passion for flowers, growing up gardening, and going on bush walks. Finding flowers in the wild is like a treasure hunt! Aussie natives have my heart. 🥰 I started selling my flowers after the tafe week to friends and family to help pay my way. It then naturally turned into them asking for flowers for events/ weddings ect. I could run wild with my creativity, and that’s how the business was born. I’ve worked in cafe jobs part time, cleaned houses, worked in other local florists all at once - all whilst creating my dream from scratch on the side, all hours of the day. Some days been over 12hrs + long. I’ve been through all the years of lockdowns, saying yes to everything and anything, and working for nothing. Learning business, and doing all aspects of the business via research + time (admin, deliveries, flower pick up’s, creating, accounting, social media, website ect) 😅 Preservation came about after I flowered my brother’s wedding, not wanting the arbour to go to waste I experimented with the flowers and created my first pressed piece back in 2021, as a surprise gift. After a few more weddings I flowered, preserving their bouquets as well- that’s when I fell into my calling. A preservation artist. 🥰 Many years of trial and error, here we are! 🕺 I’ve had so many people tell me that I could never make this my full time reality - ‘there’s no money in flowers, just get a full time job like everyone else’. Giving up never felt like an option.💥 After 8, and a bit long years, I quit my cafe job in Feb and haven’t looked back since! This is now my full time reality and I’m so beyond blessed.
